ConnectingTheDots proudly implemented Wilmink's multi-language, multi-label ecommerce platform based on our PIMeCommerce solution.
Wilmink, a leading supplier of engine parts for petrol and diesel engines, faced the challenge of streamlining their product information and ecommerce processes. Managing complex product data, including variants and relationships, required an advanced solution to increase operational efficiency and improve customer satisfaction.
ConnectingTheDots implemented its PIMeCommerce solution, with an emphasis on the Product Information Management (PIM) section. The golden record and product classification form the basis for structured data management, optimizing product content and managing product relationships. The assurance of related products and the accurate management of reference data, including information from TecDoc and license plate data of Dutch and German vehicles, was also important.
Wilmink's updated webshop offers visitors an improved user experience. The range is accessible via various search options, including make, model, type, engine code and license plate. Search results are clearly displayed in an optimized lister template, with extensive filter and sorting options. Product pages show detailed information, comparison options and intuitive shopping cart functionality.
Customers benefit from a personalized experience, where logged in users see their specific net price. The order process has been simplified, with flexible options for adjustments in the shopping cart and various payment methods, including payment on account. Automatic synchronization with ERP ensures real-time order processing and accurate order history in the customer's personal account.
The result is an optimized PIMeCommerce environment that enables Wilmink to operate more efficiently, serve customers better and stay ahead of the competition.
