Optimization of Product Content Management: SURF's Success with CTD PIM


SURF is a cooperative association of Dutch educational and research institutions in which the members join forces. Within SURF, universities, colleges, secondary vocational education institutions, UMCs and research institutions work together to purchase or develop the best possible digital services and to stimulate knowledge sharing by continuing to innovate.

Improving Product Content

After a careful selection procedure, SURF chose CTD PIM from ConnectingTheDots. With this choice, SURF aims to significantly improve the quality of its Product Content. The objectives of this implementation were ambitious and included increasing the quality of product information for users of all SURF channels. The aim is to provide current, correct and complete information.

Improved UX

SURF also aims to simplify the management of product information. This means that entering information becomes less labor-intensive, the chance of errors is minimized, and the time-to-market is significantly reduced.

Another important pillar of this implementation is the pursuit of improved collaboration between the various teams involved in product information management at SURF. With multiple teams and roles contributing to this process, the goal is to optimize alignment and gain greater insight into the progress of changes and adjustments within the system. CTD PIM is seen as the key to achieving these ambitious goals.
